Teaming for success is part of Marsoft’s culture. That means both internally – within our diverse global team, and externally – with partners who share our vision and commitment to quality and innovation that extend and preserve our natural resources.
We are incredibly proud that two of our partners, the High Tide Foundation and ClimeCo, have been recognized by the White House for their contributions to combatting climate change and their continuing leadership role in that global mission. The Biden administration has just released an announcement of new contributions from High Tide, ClimeCo, and other distinguished leaders, to detect and reduce climate “super pollutants”: Biden-Harris Administration FACT SHEET July 23, 2024.
The High Tide foundation provided critical funding to the Marsoft/MIT Sea Grant Design Laboratory vessel performance modelling program. The jointly developed model has been extraordinarily successful in accurately predicting the energy-saving and emission-reducing impact of retrofits. GreenScreen™ thus provides shipowners and investors the ability to rapidly, accurately, objectively, and parsimoniously demonstrate the benefits of investments in retrofits including advanced coatings, engine tuning, wake-flow devices, and many other technologies.
ClimeCo is Marsoft’s partner in delivering GreenScreen™ and has ensured that the quality of carbon credits generated through the GreenScreen™ program is reflected in the price they realize in the market. They have demonstrated their belief in the GreenScreen™ program by investing cash and people to ensure GreenScreen’s success.
We are proud to have helped our clients, who, by investing in retrofits above and beyond common industry practice, will reduce their fleets’ emissions by more than one million tonnes of CO2 in the coming five years.
GreenScreen™ creates a win/win opportunity for shipping – to combat global warming and ensure the necessary returns to investors.
